Schneider Electric Series DF Rail Mount Fuse Holder, 50A Current, 690V Voltage - DF143C

This rail-mount fuse holder provides a compact, three-pole solution for protecting circuits on a DIN35mm rail in industrial control panels. It accepts 14x51mm fuse cartridges and is designed to fit into automation, electrical and mechanical installations where clear status indication and secure mounting are required.

Features & Benefits

• 50A rated current for handling moderate load circuits
• 690V insulation rating for high-voltage switching applications
• Screw-clamp terminals for robust conductor connections
• Indicator fitted to show fuse condition at a glance
• Withstands short-circuit stresses up to 120kA at 400V
• Operates to +60°C for high-temperature environments

Applications

• Suitable for motor starter panels using tubular fuse links
• Ideal for distribution blocks in manufacturing switchgear
• Used with fuse cartridge strikers for remote trip signalling
• Can be used for protection in DC and AC control systems
• Suitable for retrofitting on standard 35mm DIN rails

What cable sizes can be terminated into the unit?

Single-conductor rigid or flexible cables from 2.5mm2 up to 25mm2 can be fitted on one Terminal, and dual conductors up to 2x10mm2 are accepted on the second Terminal set.

How does the device behave under high impulse voltages?

The holder has an impulse-withstand capability of 8kV to tolerate transient overvoltages on industrial supplies.

What environmental limits apply during storage and use?

Storage range extends to -40 to 80°C while operational range is -20 to 60°C with derating above 20°C for continuous service.

How is the product secured mechanically in panels?

It clips onto a 35mm symmetrical DIN rail and is intended for vertical mounting with a ±23° tolerance.
