Eaton Rail Mount Fuse Holder for A2 Fuse, 32A, 660V AC RS32H
Improve electrical safety in your industrial machinery and equipment with this robust fuse holder from Eaton . This component is designed to hold A2 fuses for DIN rail mounting. It's made of a highly durable thermoplastic material that provides reliable resistance against impact and vibration, while also offering finger safety to protect you from electric shocks.
With a voltage rating of 660V AC (alternating current) and a current rating of 32A, this device is ideal for low-voltage industrial applications in situations like production plants and automotive workshops.
Features & Benefits
• Large contact areas for low resistivity and a prolonged lifespan
• Copper contact material for reliable conductivity and signal transmission
• Compatible with both slow-acting and fast-acting fuses for versatility
• Flame retardant housing for use in demanding applications
What is meant by 'potential fault current'?
Also known as 'prospective short circuit current', 'potential fault current' is the value of the current that would flow if there was no protection in the circuit in the event of a short circuit.
Eaton Bussmann Series Fuse Holders - Red Spot Fuse Holder Range
This range of Red Spot fuse holders are also known as finger-safe fuse holders, originally created and designed to be used with BS88 fuses. These types of fuse holders will predominantly be found within industrial and commercial environments. The rail mount fuse holders contain fuses that are slotted into sets with metal contacts.
Features & Benefits
• Red Spot range of fuse holders are industry standard for protecting utility and industrial installations
• Anti-vibration and the large contact system ensures a perfect carrier contact alignment and superior electrical contact
• Each conductor insulating sleeve help to prevent inadvertent contact at the entry point whilst fully shrouded terminals deliver an IP20 rating. (Holding an IP20 rating means that the fuse holder has ingress protection against solid objects up to 12 mm - such as a person's finger and no protection against liquids)
• The parts are moulded, constructed from flame-retardant, non-hygroscopic, high dielectric strength phenolic material
• Red Spot fuse holders range offers a multitude of different accessories and Bussman fuses
• Designed to protect applications from potentially devastating effects of low, short circuits and overvoltage conditions
• Compatible with standard and motor rated fuses
• Taper shank fuse fixing screws ensure easy re-entry
• Large fuse carriers contact areas for low resistance and longer life
• Full shrouded construction
What are fuse holders used for?
One of the main functions of a rail mount fuse holder is to offer circuit protection, it is to also offer protection to both the user and the equipment in the event of a circuit overload within any given application.
