Honeywell HSC Series Differential Pressure Sensor, ±0.25% Accuracy, 3.3V Minimum Supply Voltage - HSCDRRN040MD2A3

This differential pressure sensor measures pressure difference between two ports for use with non-corrosive, non-ionic gases and selected liquids. It provides a ratiometric analogue or digital output from a single low-voltage supply and is calibrated and temperature-compensated for stable readings across typical industrial and medical operating conditions.

Features and Benefits:

• ±0.25% accuracy reduces software calibration requirements
• Operates from 3.3 to 5V for low-voltage system compatibility
• Dual radial barbed port allows straightforward tubing connections
• Compensated for 0°C to 50°C to maintain output fidelity
• Fast update rates support Rapid measurement and control loops
• Low power consumption minimises battery drain in portable systems

Applications

• Used for airflow monitoring in respiratory equipment
• Suitable for HVAC filter clog detection and VAV control
• Ideal for gas flow instrumentation and chromatography systems
• Can be used for medical ventilator and anaesthesia monitoring
• Used with lab instruments requiring fast differential readings

What electrical Interface options are available?

It offers ratiometric analogue output and 12-14 bit digital outputs compatible with I2C or SPI communications depending on configuration.

What supply voltages are supported and how does output scale?

The device is characterised for single‑supply 3.3V or 5.0V operation and provides a ratiometric output that scales with Vsupply.

How does the sensor handle overpressure events?

It withstands significant overpressure and high burst pressures relative to its range, with overload protection values up to 850 mbar on certain differential ranges.

What diagnostic or protection options exist for fluid applications?

Liquid‑media options are available for Port1 only and diagnostic variants exist, Port2 is not compatible with liquids.

What standards and quality assurances apply to production?

The device is produced under ISO 9001 processes and incorporates on-board ASIC compensation for offset, sensitivity and non-linearity.
