Fluke Current Probe, 6kA Maximum AC Current, ±1% Accuracy - I6000S FLEX-36

This current probe is a flexible Rogowski-style sensor for measuring high alternating currents with portable oscilloscopes, recorders or data loggers. It provides a lightweight, adaptable measuring head for use in confined or hard-to-reach installations while supporting industrial test and diagnostic workflows.

Features & Benefits

• Measure up to 6000A ac rms for high-current systems
• High-accuracy current probe ±1% across mains frequencies
• Switchable 60A, 600A and 6000A ranges for versatile scaling
• Frequency response 10Hz–50kHz to capture harmonics and transients
• 2m cable flexible current probe for remote electronics placement
• Battery life 400h probe with 2xAA power for extended field use

**Applications**

• Suitable for commissioning and fault-finding on large motors and drives
• Ideal for harmonic analysis and transient capture in power systems
• Used with portable oscilloscopes for on-site waveform recording
• Can be used for load studies on industrial distribution panels
• Used for maintenance diagnostics in automation and electrical workshops

What environmental temperatures can it tolerate during use?

The measuring head withstands up to +90°C while the electronics operate up to +85°C, and both work down to −20°C.

How does the probe connect to test instruments?

It outputs via a 0.5m cable terminated with a safety BNC connector and includes a 4mm safety plug adaptor for compatibility with scopes and loggers.

How resistant is the probe to external magnetic influence?

External wire influence is typically 1% for currents more than 200mm from the head, and external fields with the cable routed greater than 200mm contribute about ±1% of range.

What safety and EMC standards does it meet for industrial use?

It is rated to CAT III 600V working voltage and complies with BS EN 61326 EMC requirements and relevant BS EN 61010 safety standards.

Is there an option for external power?

Yes, besides the supplied alkaline cells, a dedicated external power supply is available in Europe and the UK.
