TEK 402/404 are compact, versatile, battery powered instruments suitable for use in noisy environments. The tough construction makes it ideal for industrial and commercial environments including low voltage signalling, process control and training or educational applications. The loud 85 dB buzzer makes it ideal for use in noisy environments where many continuity buzzers, multimeters or 17th Edition multi function testers cannot be heard.;TEK404 can be used for the same low voltage applications as the TEK402. But the TEK 404 is also suitable for use in CAT II and CAT III environments. There is an additional safety feature which pulses to alert the user when connected to live circuits >30 V ac. There is a convenient belt clip and the TEK404 is supplied with CATIII 600 V rated TL47 test leads.
