This surface-conditioning disc from 3M has abrasive aluminium oxide woven into its fibres for a high cut rate and a long working life. It features an open web material construction to keep it cool, reducing the risk of discolouration and warping. The disc conforms well to contoured surfaces and is backed by a tear-resistant cloth for added strength and durability. You can use it to smooth down all types of metals, as well as to prep surfaces and remove rust.

Compared to traditional abrasives that quickly wear down when used, this discs high cut-rate, hardness, strength and low heat retention make aluminium oxide a popular choice.

3M Roloc quick-change discs are smaller discs that easily and quickly attach onto a Roloc back-up pad, so you can conveniently change discs from job to job or in multi-step finishing processes.

You can use this abrasive disc with either a right-angle grinder or a disc sander.
