Introducing the range of RS PRO Flanged General Purpose ABS Enclosures. This enclosure is a high-quality and high-frequency unit and is ideal for shielding electronic equipment. The flanged design makes it easier for the enclosure to be securely mounted where required, without compromising the protection it gives. It is suitable for a range of other applications and has an IP rating of IP54 making it a great unit for basic protection.

What is Ingress Protection?


An IP rating classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact and water in electrical enclosures. The first number indicates the protection from solids and the second number is the protection from liquids.

Can the enclosure be used outside?


This enclosure has an IP54 rating so only protected from water spray, so this product is not recommended for outside use.

If the gasket accessory is used, the IP rating increases to IP65 which can protect against water ingress, making it more suitable for use outside.
