RS PRO 20 A SP Solid State Relay, DIN Rail, 530 Vrms Maximum Load


A solid-state relay lets you switch circuits that carry an AC voltage by means of a low DC voltage, and transfers the signal with an optical light beam. This solid-state relay from RS PRO allows much faster switching than electromechanical equivalents.

This unit has a load voltage range of 48 Vrms to 530 Vrms. It operates quietly and uses little power. With no moving parts, there is no risk of sparks from fast-moving components and the relay is much less prone to wearing out than standard electromechanical models.

The unit's status is shown by an LED power indicator, and the IP20-rated housing means it's safe to touch. It mounts easily onto a standard 35 mm DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung, or the German Institute of Standardisation) rail. Gas or water meters, motor control and robotics are just some of the common applications in which relays like this are frequently found.
