Use this sensor from Festo to detect the piston position in pneumatic cylinders without contact. The device does this by using the magneto-resistive measuring principle to accurately decipher the piston position and prevent crashing. This durable sensor is made of tough polyamide, polypropylene and high-alloy steel materials that make it resistant to acids, alkalis and cooling lubricants. This means it's suitable for use in chemical production facilities. It can work as either a safety device or a switching component.
