The Igus Encoder Cable features very finely stranded special conductors designed for exceptional bend resistance, made from tinned copper wires. It is suitable for medium duty applications with light oil exposure and is primarily intended for indoor use, though it can also be used outdoors at temperatures above 5°C. It supports unsupported travel distances of up to 10 meters for gliding applications. Common applications include storage and retrieval units, processing and packaging machines, material handling, indoor cranes, and wood/stone processing.
