Only minimal effort is needed to achieve secure joins. At just over 1kg in weight, it's light enough to carry around in your toolbox so you can take it with you on the go. Visually, this product resembles traditional pliers, with clamps that have a ridge on one side and a notch on the other. Crimping pinches the wire and connector into the notch, compressing them together to secure the bond.
This crimping tool is suitable for use with an RJ45 Ethernet connector with an 8P8C (8 position, 8 contact) configuration. With its dual-function operation, you can first use it to splice the wires into the copper pins at the end of the connector, and then bend the gripper to hold the entire cable inside the plug, for a snug and secure fit.
