Siemens 3RH1 Series Auxiliary Contact, 1P Pole Configuration, 1NO Normal State Configuration - 3RH1921-2CA10

This auxiliary contact is a front-mounted Snap-on switch designed for use with compatible contactors. It interfaces with 3RT1 contactors to provide an additional instantaneous normally open contact for signalling or control circuits. The unit operates across a wide ambient range and meets relevant IEC standards for control and power contact devices.

Features and Benefits:

• 690V Rated insulation voltage provides high-voltage compatibility
• 10A Contact current supports common control-circuit loads
• Mechanical durability 10M cycles ensures extended service life
• Spring-type terminals allow secure, vibration-resistant connection
• IP20 Front protection permits safe operator access in enclosures

Applications

• Suitable for use with 3RT10 contactors
• Ideal for front-panel status signalling in control cabinets
• Used with 3RT145 contactors for auxiliary switching tasks
• Can be used for interlock feedback to motor starters

What Terminal connection method does it use?

It uses spring-loaded terminals that accept solid or stranded conductors 0.5 to 2.5 mm².

What short-circuit protection is recommended for the auxiliary circuit?

A 10A characteristic miniature circuit-breaker or a 10A gG fuse at 500V, 1kA is specified.

What operational current can it handle at AC-15, 230V?

It can carry up to 6A under AC-15 utilisation at 230V.

How does it perform at low temperatures during operation?

It is rated for continuous operation down to -25°C.

Which standards govern its mirror-contact and safety functions?

It complies with IEC 60947-4-1 for mirror-contact use and IEC 60947-5-1 for control-device requirements.
