Sick YF8U14 Series Sensor Actuator Cable, 5m Cable Length, Black Jacket - YF8U14-050UA3XLEAX / 2094792

This sensor actuator cable provides a robust connection for industrial sensing and actuation tasks, linking an M8 female connector to flying leads for direct wiring. Designed for use in automated systems, it delivers low-voltage signal and power transmission in environments with oils, lubricants and mechanical movement. The black polyurethane jacket and halogen-free construction make it appropriate for factory floor installations requiring flexible, long-life cabling.

Features & Benefits

• Four-conductor 0.25mm² conductors yield Compact current capacity
• Rated for ≤60V DC to support low-voltage control circuits
• IP65/IP66K/IP67 protection for washdown and wet environments
• PUR jacket resists oils and offers drag-chain compatibility
• 10,000,000 bending cycles for extended dynamic operation
• 4A current rating supports common sensor and actuator loads

Applications

• Suitable for wiring proximity sensors in production lines
• Ideal for actuators in pneumatic and hydraulic control cabinets
• used with cable carriers in pick-and-place machinery
• Can be used for machine retrofits requiring flying-lead terminations
• Suitable for signal and power runs in lubrication-rich areas

What connector configuration does it have at the cable end?

One end features a straight M8 female 4-pin connector with screw termination

the opposite end is supplied with unterminated flying leads for customised wiring.

How does it perform under continuous movement conditions?

It is specified for drag-chain operation with a recommended minimum bending radius greater than ten times the cable diameter and a maximum traversing speed of 3 m/s.

What temperature ranges can it tolerate?

Flexible use is rated from −25°C to +80°C, stationary positions from −40°C to +80°C, with the connector head rated to −25°C to +85°C.

Are there any mechanical torsion limits to consider?

The cable withstands torsion of 180° per metre and is tested to 2,000,000 torsion cycles at up to 35 cycles per minute.

What electrical endurance characteristics are specified?

It has a rated impulse voltage of 1.5 kV, insulation resistance of 100 MΩ and a specific insulation resistance of 30 mΩ, suitable for industrial sensor networks.
