RS PRO Battery-Operated Sensor Tester for Proximity Switches


From RS PRO this is the battery-operated Proximity Switch Tester designed to test three or four wire DC proximity switches with either PNP or NPN Outputs. The sensor tester us supplied with two 9V batteries ready for immediate proximity switch testing and can test for inductive (metal sensing), capacitive, photoelectric or ultrasonics. ;LED and audible sound indicators show how the proximity switch is operating displaying the functionality of the switch allowing you to quickly check the operation of the proximity switch sensor. By using the RS PRO Sensor Tester is a cost saving as you can avoid unnecessary replacement of sensors with instant fault finding.

    Connect the proximity switch to the switch tester, place a suitable target in front of the switch. If the switch is functioning correctly, the unit will give audio and visual indication showing the switch operates and indicating the functionality of the switch according to the chart found on the datasheet.
