Introducing the XL-2000-01 series of DIN rail enclosures from our trusted and reliable own brand RS PRO, a selection of durable, airtight enclosures suitable for protecting electrical parts and components. The enclosures are quick and easy to install and are ideal for mounting to a DIN rail in a variety of environments. The XL-200-01 series is available in either IP41 protection (stock no. 331-3725) or IP55 (stock no. 331-3731) , depending on the type of application required and is suitable for an M25 cable entry thread. The XL-2000-01 series has been designed with motor protection switches in mind, offering a suitable enclosure that can be mounted to a DIN rail.

What is the IP rating?


The IP rating is used to define levels of sealing effectiveness of electrical enclosures against intrusion from foreign bodies (tools, dirt etc) and moisture. The XL-2000-01 series offers two enclosures with different IP ratings dependant on the type of application.

• 331-3725 (IP41 protection), offers protection from small tools, wires and condensation

• 331-3731 (IP55 protection), offers protection from limited dust ingress and low pressure water jets

What is a DIN rail enclosure?


DIN rail instrument enclosures provide perfect protection from dust and moisture of internal electrical parts and components that are required to be mounted to a DIN rail. This form of enclosure is ideal for when space is limited or restricted. An enclosure mounted to a DIN rail allows PCB (printed circuit boards) and other standard electrical components to be safely installed and protected at all times, reducing the risk of damage and deterioration.
