Molex Micro-Fit Female Crimp Contact, 24 to 20AWG - 43030 Series - 43030-0001

This Molex crimp contact makes electrical connections with either PCBs (printed circuit boards) or connectors terminated with wires between 24 and 20AWG (American Wire Gauge). It's a female contact that's designed for use with Micro-Fit 3.0 housings. Multiple contact points create a reliable connection and allow for a high current-carrying capacity. The contact is made from tin-plated phosphor bronze that won't corrode. Low halogen content limits the danger of toxic gas emission in the event of a fire or excess heat.

• Quick crimp termination method creates gas-tight connection to prevent corrosion

• Wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C for use in a range of demanding environments

• Locking tangs secure the PCB connection in the housing

• Complies with all required EU safety and environmental standards

Applications

• Security systems

• Telecommunications devices including routers

• Medical equipment

• Automotive industry

What are the main advantages of a crimped connection?

Crimped connections offer a number of advantages compared with connections you can achieve with a solder. A crimped connection is airtight, so moisture, dirt and debris – which can all cause corrosion and damage – can't get in. Additionally, because a crimped connection doesn't use any alloy filler, the connection is stronger and longer-lasting.

Molex Micro-Fit 3.0 mm Crimp Contacts

Pin and receptacle crimp contacts for use in the Micro-Fit 3.0 mm plug and receptacle housings. These crimp pin and receptacle terminals feature multiple points of contact for a reliable electrical connection and a higher current carrying capacity. Locking tangs on the crimp contacts secure them firmly in the connector housing. The 46235 series crimp contacts are RMF (Reduced Mating Force) contacts which have a reduced engagement and disengagement force for ease of use. These Micro-Fit crimp contacts are available with a range of platings and wire size ranges for design flexibility

Features and Benefits

• Multiple points of contact for reliable electrical connection

• Locking tangs for secure connection in housing

• Reduce Mating Force versions for ease of use
