PicoScope 2000 Series Oscilloscope, 100MHz Bandwidth, 1ns/div Time Base - PicoScope 2208B MSO

This oscilloscope is a Compact PC-connected instrument designed for mixed-signal measurement and protocol analysis. It connects via USB to provide waveform capture and logic timing alongside serial bus decoding, supporting a variety of vehicle and embedded communications standards. It is intended for bench and field use where a lightweight, computer-hosted instrument is preferred.

Features and Benefits:

• 100MHz bandwidth enables accurate high-frequency signal capture
• 1ns/div timebase gives fine time-domain resolution
• 3.5ns rise time supports fast edge characterisation
• 8-bit vertical resolution balances speed and amplitude detail
• 4mV to 4V/div sensitivity covers small to large signals

Applications

• Suitable for mixed-signal debugging with digital and analogue channels
• Ideal for decoding CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, LIN and RS232 protocols
• Used for embedded system timing verification and validation
• Can be used for automotive electronics diagnostics and testing
• Suitable for laboratory development with PC-based data logging

How is the instrument powered during operation?

It is powered over the USB connection, enabling operation without a separate mains supply.

How many input channels are available for combined measurements?

It provides 18 channels to capture multiple analogue and digital signals concurrently.

Which environmental or regulatory standards does it meet?

It complies with RoHS, REACH and WEEE standards.

What Interface options are provided for serial bus analysis?

Interfaces include CAN, I2C, LIN, RS232, SPI, UART and USB.

What limits the longest observable signal periods?

The maximum timebase extends to 5000s/div for long-duration signal observation.
