The Broadcom optically isolated gate drive devices are optimised for driving IGBT and Power MOSFET transistors. The highly integrated smart gate drive optocouplers provide integrated protection features; Active Miller Clamp, under voltage lockout, fault and UVLO status feedback and desaturation detection. Beside the protection features, Broadcom have also an integrated DC-DC controller for floating power supply.

The isolated gate driver optocouplers are ideal for use in motor control and power conversion applications. This solution isolates and protects logic signals from high voltages.
