Product Details
Belden Serial Digital Interface (SDI) Coaxial Cable, Mini RG59, 304.8m, 1855A
The 1855A SDI coaxial cable from Belden is a highly durable choice for digital video applications which ensures stable transmission of signals.
This Belden 1855A unit provides superb conductivity due to its 23 AWG solid bare copper wire conductor. It features a Duofoil +95% tinned copper braid shield which guards against electromagnetic interference (EMI), helping to keep signal loss and crosstalk to a minimum. The operating temperature range for this coaxial cable is -30°C to +75°C. It can withstand rough handling during installation, maintaining impedance and return loss characteristics.
Features and Benefits:
• Outer jacket made of tough PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
• Uses gas-injected foam HDPE insulation (Foam High Density Polyethylene) for optimal crush-resistance and protection against chemicals and UV
• 75 Ohm nominal characteristic impedance
• Versatile choice which can be used indoors and outdoors

What is Mini RG-59 Cable?
The term RG stands for 'Radio Guide' and is a type of rating for cables. Mini RG-59 type cable is a flexible 75 Ohm coaxial cable which is typically used in CCTV installations and broadband communication networks. It is smaller than the normal RG-59 type, making it ideal for applications with limited space. Other common RG ratings for coaxial cables include: RG-6 and RG-11.
What is the difference between RG-59 and RG-6?
RG-6 coaxial cables are better suited for high bandwidth, high frequency installations like cable tv, satellite tv, and broadband internet. They use a larger conductor and have thicker dielectric insulation.
