Fluke Thermometers
A Fluke digital thermometer is a scientific instrument used to measure temperature. Digital thermometers use a probe to take the temperature and a numerical reading is clearly displayed on an LCD screen.
Taking readings with a digital thermometer is more convenient than using a mercury thermometer. The common misconception is that it contains mercury, but that's not true. As part of these thermometers, the tip contains a thermistor that measures the temperature. With them, it is possible to obtain accurate readings that are displayed in one decimal place. Compared to liquid-type thermometers, these are more precise, making them a popular choice.
Types of Fluke Digital thermometers?
There are several types of fluke digital thermometers that are designed for different applications and environments. Some of the common types include:
1.Fluke 51
In a variety of applications, the Fluke 51 digital thermometer measures temperature. This is a contact thermometer, meaning that the probe must be placed directly on the surface or object that is being measured. Due to its wide temperature range, the Fluke 51 can measure temperatures in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. Additionally, it has a hold and a min/max function so you can freeze the displayed temperature.
2. Fluke 52
The Fluke 52 is a digital thermometer that is designed to measure temperature in a variety of applications. It is a contact thermometer, which means it has a probe that must be placed in direct contact with the object or surface being measured. The Fluke 52 can measure temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit, and it has a wide temperature range of -40 to 150°C (-40 to 302°F).
3. Fluke 53
This digital thermometer can be used in a variety of applications to measure temperature. An object or surface being measured must be in direct contact with the probe of the contact thermometer. Fluke 53 offers a wide range of temperature measurement between -40 and 300°C (-40 to 572°F).
4. Fluke 54
The Fluke 54 is a digital thermometer that is designed to measure temperature in a variety of applications. It is a contact thermometer, which means it has a probe that must be placed in direct contact with the object or surface being measured. The Fluke 54 can measure temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit, and it has a wide temperature range of -40 to 400°C (-40 to 752°F).
How does a digital thermometer work?
Digital thermometers work by using sensors to measure the temperature of an object or surface and then display the result on a digital display. The most common type of digital thermometer is an electronic thermometer, which uses a thermistor (a type of resistor that changes resistance based on temperature) to measure temperature.
When the thermistor is placed in contact with an object or surface, it will heat up or cool down based on the temperature of the object or surface. As the thermistor changes temperature, it changes resistance, which can be measured by the thermometer's electronic circuitry. This resistance is then converted into a temperature reading, which is displayed on the digital display.
Other types of digital thermometers, such as infrared thermometers, work by using a sensor called a thermopile to measure the temperature of an object or surface without actually touching it. The thermopile converts the infrared radiation emitted by the object or surface into an electrical current, which is then measured by the thermometer's circuitry and displayed on the digital display.
