Audio DACs
Audio digital to analogue converters (DAC) capture and convert high-quality digital audio to direct line level output analogue signal.
Selection specification includes the number of DAC channels, resolution in bits, sampling rate in kHz or samples per a second (SPS), analogue output in mono, stereo or multi-channel audio.
The DAC audio output is perfectly suited for headphone amplifiers and Class-D, Class AB speaker amplifiers. Digital audio converting is found in applications of Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB), High Definition (HD) Radio, digital media players, automotive audio systems, and audio video receivers.
To be able to listen to MP3 files or CDs you must have a conversion from the digital signal (MP3 files, CDs) into an analogue signal for the music to be played through headphones or speakers. Once the signal has been converted it can then be passed onto an amplifier.
