    Interface Modules

Interface modules connect electronic devices to electrical systems at the control level. These modules perform signal transmission and distribution functions within the device and the system. Interface modules are DIN rail mounted and give a reliable 'plug and play' interface for any industrial control system. These modules come with both male and female connectors for maximum flexibility.

What are interface modules used for?

The primary function of an interface module is to facilitate and optimise wiring operations. They are an integral part of wiring applications in most tool rooms, factories and manufacturing plants.

    Types of interface modules

    Interface module categories include:

    • Passive modules, which have up to 60 output poles that can be produced from a single cable input. These modules are easy to connect with simple mounting functionality and come with or without LED signalling features. Examples of passive-interface modules include flat cable, D-subminiature, resistor and diode modules.
    • Relay modules or modular modules amplify and isolate output signals by cleaning and protecting them from signal interference. Relay modules have galvanic isolation, which prevents static charge. These modules have DIN rail mounting or AC/DC features to reduce installation and maintenance time.
