The sensor is durable and long-lasting as the housing is made of nickel-plated brass and polycarbonate (PC) for resistance to wear and corrosion. You can use it in demanding industrial and outdoor environments as it's IP67 rated, meaning it's dust-tight and able to withstand temporary submersion in water. It's easy to use as the dual colour LED (light-emitting diode) indicates the sensor's status, and a visible red light makes it simple to align the sensor.
