RS PRO 6082-T6 Aluminum Flat Bar, 40 mm x 3 mm x 1 m
For an aluminium bar that can be used in high-stress applications in the construction and manufacturing industries, turn to this flat metal bar from RS PRO.
With a tensile strength of 310 MPA, it can bear a significant load or stress before it will bend or break and is therefore commonly used in transport applications such as bridges, as well as trusses and cranes. The medium-strength aluminium alloy 6082 it's made of is corrosion-resistant, making it suitable for long-term exposure outdoors. Thermal conductivity of 180 W/mk makes it an excellent heat and electricity conductor.
Available in 1-metre lengths with a width of 40 mm and thickness of 3 mm, the flat, narrow shape makes it a versatile choice for a variety of applications. As part of the RS PRO range, this aluminium bar has been stringently tested for quality. It's also RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant.
