1 & 2 Closed End Splices & Crimp Tool
Tin plated copper sleeves with nylon 6.6 insulation makes these items ideal for electrically joining cables or for storing/insulating the ends of spare cables, which may be required at a later date. Wire sizes quoted in the table are for the total conductor area, which could include 1, 2, 3 or more cables bundled together.,Choose the correct crimp by adding all conductor cross-sectional areas together (mm²).,Suitable crimp tool stock no. 253-4583.
How do you use a Closed-End Wire Connector?
RS PRO nylon closed end connectors are easy to terminate. Simply strip the wires that need joining and insert them into the barrel of the connector and crimp together using a suitable crimper. The correct sized crimp connector can be calculated by adding all conductor cross-sectional areas together (mm²). The compression style electrical connection provides good tensile strength while maintaining maximum contact with the wire. The RS PRO series of closed end wire terminals are an essential addition to any electricians tool kit.
