    Pan Head Self Tapping Screws

Pan head Self-tapping screws are a type of fastener that requires no pre-drilling. Pan head self-tappers work by tapping their own threads in materials like plastic, wood, and metal.

What is a pan head screw?

A pan head screw looks a little bit like an upside-down frying pan. It has a wide head and a flat bearing surface and is rounded on the sides. Pan head screws usually have a slotted, cross, or Posidriv drive for installation.

    Thread Types

Pan head self-tapping screws are available with standard metric threads including M3, M4, and M5. Alternatively, UTS (Unified Thread Standard) are also available including 4, 6, 8, 10, and size threads.

    Materials and Finishes

Typically made from steel or stainless steel (A2)304 or (A4) 316 grades. Finishes can be bright zinc plated, clear passivated for extra protection from the elements.
