    Backplane Connector Contacts

Backplane connector contacts are small crimp contacts designed to be used with backplane connectors. These connectors simply mount to the cable or inside the housing and are used in backplane connectors to transfer current and signals. Backplane connector contacts are also sometimes called pins, and these pins are typically connected in parallel. You can use these connectors in your DIN 41612 applications.

    Types of backplane connectors

Backplane connectors can be made from various metals (copper, brass and more) and contain different platings (Gold, Nickel, Palladium, Silver and more) for different applications. Some contacts are also terminated differently too, with some being crimp, solder or screw in.

DIN connector contacts are popular and will fit in housings that connect PCB's together.
