RS PRO Boot for use with RJ45 Connectors

Prolong the life of your cable assemblies with minimal effort and expense thanks to this simple but effective piece of kit from RS PRO. The strain relief hood fits onto the back of RJ45 data plugs used on Ethernet cables, preventing excess strain on the cable clamp.

The hood also covers the plug latch, keeping the delicate part from snagging on other cables while still allowing it to operate effectively. It measures 27.7 mm long by 14.8 mm deep. Simply snap onto your plug before installation for a neater and more robust set-up when connecting computers to an Ethernet-based local area network (LAN).

The registered jack (RJ) connector hood will accept standard 4-pair UTP and STP (unshielded and shielded) twisted-pair cables for LAN networks. It's compatible with multi-port socket harmonica blocks.

The hood is RoHS certified as containing only minimal levels of hazardous substances such as mercury.
