    Si531x/2x/6x/7x Jitter Attenuators, Silicon Labs


    The Silicon Labs Si531x/2x/6x/7x jitter attenuators generate any combination of output frequencies from any input frequency. Using the Silicon Labs third-generation DSPLL architecture they simplify your clock tree design by replacing multiple clocks and oscillators. Minimising your BOM count and complexity.

    These Silicon SI5326 series are jitter-attenuating precision clock multipliers for applications requiring sub 1ps jitter performance. They can be used in a variety of applications such as Optical modules, wireless base stations, data converter clocking, xDSL, Test and measurement equipment, broadcast video & plenty more.

    Features of SI5326 –
    • Generates from 2 kHz to 945MHz
    • Select frequency of 2 kHz to 710MHz
    • Jitter generation as low as 0.3ps rms (50 kHz – 80MHz)
    • Small size (6 x 6mm)
    • LOL, LOS, FOS alarm outputs
    • Dual clock outputs with selectable signal format
    • Dual clock inputs with manual or auto controlled hitless switching
    • I2C or SPI programmable.

    The SI5326 also has a crystal oscillator built in & can use that function as a clock source for frequency synthesis. The device’s input clock frequency and clock multiplication ratio are programmable through an I2C or SPI interface. The SI5326 can also withstand temperatures from -40°C up to +85°C. Using the Silicon Labs third-generation DSPLL architecture they simplify your clock tree design by replacing multiple clocks and oscillators, minimising your BOM count and complexity.
