Introducing the RS PRO K78 range Switching Regulators, a series of wide input voltage non-isolated and regulated singe output converters. These high-quality switching regulators are direct replacements for the LM78 series three-terminal linear regulators, with the added benefit of being able to perform load conversions for greater flexibility. These RS PRO regulated converters have a low ripple and standby power consumption, making them highly efficient to work at full load without the need for a heat sink, and additionally making them ideal for use in instrumentation, IoT and a wide variety of battery-powered applications.

Switching regulators are circuits that are easily able to take energy from an input voltage source and push them into the output by using an electrical switch and controller. This switch and controller have the ability to ’regulate’ the rate at which the energy is moved to the output.
