Product Details
HTAT - Moisture Proof Sleeving 4:1
Designed to provide environmental sealing for a range of substrates, at elevated temperatures. Manufactured from radiation - crosslinked polyolefin, the inner wall melts when heated and is forced into intersections by the shrinking of the outer wall so that, when cooled, the substrate is encapsulated by a tough, protective moisture barrier. With a high shrink ratio as standard, the tubing offers environmental protection to a wide range of irregular shapes with varying dimensions. The jacket is flame retardant to reduce flame propagation.
Features and Benefits
Semi flexible polyolefin tubing
Flame retardant jacket
Heat shrink ratio of 4:1 meaning when heated this tubing shrinks to a quarter of its original diameter, making it perfect for awkward shaped connectors
High shrink ratio ensures the tube will be able to fit over larger connectors and still ensure environmental sealing
High strength bonding due to inner adhesive lining
Operating temperature -55°C to 110°C
Heat shrink temperature: 80°C
Supplied in lengths of 1.2m

Features and Benefits
What does a heat shrink ratio of 4:1 mean?
A ratio of 4:1 means when the tube is heated it shrinks to a quarter of its original diameter
How can I shrink the tubing?
A heat gun or a heat shrink oven are ideal ways to shrink your tubing. Before heating always check to ensure you know the correct heating temperature of your tubing.
Remember to ensure all health and safety precautions have been taken prior to using a heating devise.
