RS Pro 2192Y light duty twin flexible cable a commonly used power cable within the Construction industry across Europe. Manufactured in accordance with European harmonised code H03VVH2-F, it is designed as an indoor general wiring cable.

What is Mains Cable?

A mains power cable connects an appliance to a mains electricity supply through the use of a wall socket or an extension lead which will then be plugged into a mains supply.

Cable Construction

This flexible power cable consists of 2 cores made up of IEC 60228 Class 5 stranded copper conductors or wires. These two cores are adjacent to one another which gives the cable its flat or ovular shape. Each individual core is surrounded by colour coded PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) insulation for easy identification of the wires. Both the cores are then surrounded by a final outer layer of PVC called a sheath or jacket.
