Building up the Complete Toolkit

RS offers an extensive range of RS-branded high-quality tool cabinets and toolset modules that are an essential requirement for industrial engineering professionals. These products, which all come with a three-year warranty, provide a highly professional and premium-quality solution without the premium brand price tag for electrical engineers, electricians, mechanics and maintenance engineers working in myriad industrial environments such as garages, workshops and factories. The range includes 18 toolset modules, five tool cabinets and two full toolkits. This makes it exceptionally easy to select a trolley type and a suite of tools to suit individual user requirements.

Tool Modules

There are 18 tool modules available in the new RS branded range with options including a 39-piece engineer’s screwdriver and bit set, 29-piece 1/4in square drive socket set and a 16-piece steel combination spanner set, as well as other modules such as pliers, crimpers/strippers, files and hex keys. All the toolsets, which have been designed for use in the RS-brand mobile tool cabinets and chests, are stored in double-colour chemically resistant high quality EVA-foam material modules and feature individual 3D cut-outs for each tool. This provides a snug protective fit and makes it is easy to spot if a tool is missing. In addition, finger spaces allow tools to be removed easily and safely.

Tool Cabinets

The new range of tools storage cabinets includes a trio of RS PLUS robust tool trolleys comprising two seven-drawer cabinets (7 drawer RS PLUS roller tool cabinet and 7 drawer RS PLUS jumbo roller tool cabinet) and a top-of-the-range 11-drawer unit, all featuring heavy-duty oil-proof rubber wheels, two fixed and two swivelling, for easy steering.

The drawers allow for full extension, allowing easy access to tools and the low-friction telescopic ball bearing slides provide for a smooth and durable mechanism. The Smart-Lock system is installed on every drawer, which keeps drawers closed to avoid accidental opening. The central locking mechanism helps to prevent the drawer opening during transport. The recessed worktop with a high-quality mat is useful as a temporary workbench and for loose tool storage.

The two-colour EVA foam modules with tool cut-outs allow for quick identification of missing parts and easy inventory control. The RS PLUS cabinets also have a side holder for the storage of spray cans, lubricants, and paper towel rolls.
