### Single Acting or Double Acting Valves?

Single-acting flow control valves allow you to control the flow in one direction and free flow in the opposite direction. Double-acting flow control valves allow flow control in both directions.

### Line Mounting Hydraulic Control Valves

Line mounting hydraulic valves as the name suggests are control valves that are mounted directly in a hydraulic pipeline. These types of control valve an inlet and an outlet port and an adjustable rotary actuator for adjusting fluid flow in a hydraulic circuit. Line mounting control valves are typically constructed from steel, carbon steel or nickel-plated brass. In-line control valves have a female threaded connection at each end for quick and easy connection. Thread standards include BSP ports and NPT ports in sizes ranging from 1/8 inch to 1 inch.

CETOP stands for Comit&eacute Européen des Transmissions Oléohydrauliques et Pneumatiques. CETOP is the European Fluid Power Committee. CETOP is the communications platform for fluid power in Europe. CETOP mounting valves have a standard mounting pattern for modular construction. It ensures that any valves from any manufacturer, providing the CETOP pattern is the same is compatible with each other.
