RS PRO Thermocouple & Extension Wire Type K, -40°C – +200°C 2 Core Silicone Rubber Sheath 50 m
Looking for a durable thermocouple wire to build a temperature sensor? This cable from the RS PRO range is insulated with a silicone rubber outer jacket, making it highly flexible and resistant to fluids such as oils and acids.
The twisted thermocouple and extension wire can be used down to -40˚C and up to +200˚C, although it's not suitable for direct use in high-pressure steam. It's available in lengths of 50 m.
Each twisted pair of these seven-stranded conductors has a cross-sectional area of 0.2 mm. The cable's colour-coded cores and jacket indicate that it's certified as a safe Tolerance Class 2 thermocouple cable and conforms to the IEC-584 standard. What's more, the cable has been stringently tested to ensure it won't damage equipment via electrostatic discharge (ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007). It's also RoHS certified, so you can be sure it contains only minimal levels of hazardous substances.
